Bunji Saeki (佐伯 文治, Saeki Bunji) is an ally in both Tomica Hero: Rescue Force and Tomica Hero: Rescue Fire who first appears in Episode 21 in the former and Episode 07 in the latter. He is portrayed by Shihou Harumi.

Saeki is a serious worker, who takes pride in all the vehicles he designs.

In the series[]
Saeki is the head of the The United Fire-Defense Agency's vehicle maintenance department. He was working on development of the Rescue Dozer, but insists to Kyosuke Jinrai, who is excited to use it, that it isn't ready. The reason is because the vehicle is too powerful to control. Eiji Ishiguro tries to convince him to change his mind on this stance, as does Kyosuke. Because the Rescue Dozer was brought out without permission, he does eventually allow it, and Kyosuke successfully manages to control it. Saeki is actually quite happy about this.
During the Omega Zukcrane crisis, he does emergency repairs on the Rescue Striker and Rescue Saver, along with others in his department.
When the Rescue Crane is complete, he gets Ishiguro to sign for it.
Etymology[]
- Bunji's surname is composed of the characters for "aid" (佐) and "earl" (伯), whereas his first name is composed of those for "writing" (文) and "cure" (治).
