Cai (カイ) is a minor character in Tomica Hero: Rescue Force. It first appears in Episode 43. It is voiced by Hiroki Shimowada.

In the series[]
Cai is an AI belonging to Rescue Force. It became intrigued by a picture book about a fox, who sacrificed himself to save friends, which Rei had read to it.
Cai is able to thwart a virus inflicted on the UFDa's machines, but as a result becomes infected by it. Cai goes berserk, attacking those in the vicinity with the defense system it activated in fear of the developers erasing its programming. This was something that was going to happen to Cai even before this incident, however. But the virus prevented Cai from covering up its true feelings. Using the story of the fox, Rei is able to persuade Cai to go through with the rewriting, in order to rescue others. Despite this, Maen is angry about her virus being overcome and corrupts Cai with an even more powerful virus, in order to cause a generator explosion at the lab. Thus, Cai is forced to be destroyed. Cai's last request for Rei is to read the story one last time. Hikaru Todoroki deals the final blow, shutting down Cai for good.
