Kyosuke Jinrai (陣雷 響助, Jinrai Kyōsuke) is a hero in Tomica Hero: Rescue Force who first appears in Episode 01. He is portrayed by Seigo Noguchi and his suit actor is Teruo Yamaguchi.

Personal[]

Appearance[]

Personality[]

Although seeming rough at first, Kyosuke is actually the most easy-going member of Rescue Force. He shares many of Hikaru's childish tendencies. However, he takes rescuing seriously and will always put himself in danger to protect others.

Relationships[]

  • Hikaru Todoroki: He and Kyosuke get along the best. He seemed to be judging Hikaru the harshest at first, but actually, he was the member of Rescue Force who believed in him most. Kyosuke was somewhat unhappy about having to be Hikaru's support when they combined vehicles, but came to realize the importance of this role and embraced it.
  • Rei Kozuki and Juri Shiraki: They are Kyosuke's teammates and friends.
  • Eiji Ishiguro: Kyosuke's captain.
  • Yokozuna: Kyosuke's former schoolmate, whom he did sumo wrestling with.

In the series[]

Kyosuke is the second-generation R2 of Rescue Force. He is the driver of the Core Saver, which later becomes the cockpit to the Rescue Saver (eventually updated to Core Diver, which becomes the cockpit of the Rescue Diver.)

Kyosuke participated in many rescues with Rescue Force, against extreme disasters.

During one job, Kyosuke shows children around on a tour of a strong vault belonging to the World Financial Services Agency. Most of the children don't believe he's a member of Rescue Force, except for one young girl, Haruna. After an extreme disaster strikes, Kyosuke and Haruna become trapped in the vault, together with a phantom thief who had broken in, Nurenezumi Kozou. Kyosuke risks his life to protect the two, until the other members of Rescue Force can break down the door and get them out. As well, he helps the thief better understand his son, who was a former rescue worker who died performing a rescue.

Seeing Hikaru's rescues with the Rescue Striker, Kyosuke becomes determined to drive his own large scale Rescue Vehicle too. He's excited when the Rescue Saver is being developed and plans to become its driver. When the three Neo Terror Executives create an End Crisis Maker, leading to the formation of a dangerous cloud, the suits and Rescue Commanders of Rescue Force are upgraded in order to deal with it. However, there is a time limit for how long they can last. Kyosuke, Rei and Juri go in with small bombs in order to destroy the signal creating the cloud. They're quickly forced to battle against San. The girls decide to hold him back and send Kyosuke down further, where he then encounters Maare. He fights against her, ultimately letting his suit's power run out and discarding it in order to keep going. Eventually, Hikaru comes to his aid. But because of his efforts, Kyosuke proved himself as a suitable partner for the Rescue Saver.

Three months pass after that time, while Kyosuke recovers from his injuries. Just before his return, a new enemy, Daen appears, and a new extreme disaster strikes, caused by his Terra Resetter. Kyosuke finally launches in his Rescue Saver to save the day during this incident.

Kyosuke still hopes to have a partner for his Rescue Saver. When he goes to Bunji Saeki with plans, hoping his idea will be developed, he encounters the Rescue Dozer. Initially, Kyosuke is refused the chance to use it, because the vehicle is so dangerously powerful that no one can control it. Kyosuke tries to train for it, regardless, because he feels a connection to it, remembering when he used to do sumo as a child. During a battle against an extreme disaster, Saeki decides to authorize use of the Rescue Dozer, which Kyosuke is able to successfully combine with.

After the defeat of Daen, who was revealed to be the former R1, Obuchi, the evil part of Daen lives on in the form of an AI car. To defeat it, Kyosuke and Hikaru combine their Rescue Saver and Rescue Striker to the Rescue Max, a large robot.

Despite the effectiveness of Rescue Max, Kyosuke is unhappy that Hikaru controls the head, and he's stuck being its legs, which is both uncool and potentially more dangerous for him. He ends up taking injuries because of it.

Finally, Kyosuke and Hikaru are authorized to switch vehicles temporarily. Of course, Kyosuke is excited about this. However, he learns after meeting a young boy named Naoto who is struggling with soccer, and his inability to stand out compared to the team's ace, that making supports is just as important as being the star. Naoto is able to help the star player make a shoot with his assists. Kyosuke decides to be a dedicated support to Hikaru, both keeping their own vehicles.

Ultimately, Maen, the next leader of Neo Terror creates the Omega Zukcrane which will cause all volcanoes in the world to erupt. This can only be stopped when Kyosuke and Hikaru form the God Striker, which combines the Rescue Striker, Rescue Saver, and all medium vehicles that currently existed.

Kyosuke later gets a new large-scale vehicle, the Rescue Diver. This is able to combine with Hikaru's Rescue Striker as well, to form the Super Rescue Max.

After numerous votes are revealed in a Rescue Magazine, ranking members of Rescue Force in different categories, Kyosuke, as well as Rei are upset by the results. This is because Kyosuke places second to Rei as the member who would make the number one bro. During this incident, a strange extreme disaster causes men to turn into women, including Kyosuke and Hikaru. Because of how whiny they'd become, Rei and Juri take over driving their vehicles for the day. They're turned back after.

Kyosuke later is sent to meet someone at Captain Ishiguro's request. This person is the previous R2, Kamiya. Kamiya had left Rescue Force due to a tragedy in the past, where he rescued a boy named Masaki but failed to rescue his family due to being forced to take care of an extreme disaster elsewhere. Instead, he became the head firefighter at Shizuka Village. Kyosuke sees how Kamiya is still making a difference this way by helping to prevent regular disasters. That's just a different way of rescuing.

Eventually, Maen acquires enough energy to return to her true form, Batsu. In order to get through Batsu's shield and destroy it for good, Kyosuke and the other members of Rescue Force combine all the vehicles at once, into the Great God Striker. Eventually, Kyosuke and the rest separate, leaving Hikaru alone to enters Batsu's body and destroy it.

In the epilogue, Kyosuke graduates from Rescue Force. He follows in the footsteps of his predecessor and joins the local fire department.
