Ren (レン) is a character in the Tomica Hyper Series toyline and the Hyper Rescue web series. He first appears in Episode 1. He is voiced by Haruka Shimazaki.

Appearance[]
Ren is a young man with black eyes and short brown hair.
His uniform consists of an orange collared jacket with two pockets, pants and boots. The shoulders of the jacket are blue. He wears a blue shirt beneath the jacket and a black belt over it. He wears a white helmet on his head with two blue stripes across the front and his name on the back. The logo for Hyper Rescue is also on the front of his helmet.
Personality[]
Ren is a gentle, kind and responsible person. Despite his meek appearance, he is extremely talented in rescue work and driving. He loves animals and his hobby is swimming.
Relationships[]
- Shou- The two are long time friends, and occasional rivals. They work together as members of Hyper Rescue.
- Takumi- He is Ren's superior.
In the series[]
Ren is a 22-year-old member of Hyper Rescue. He is the primary driver of the Powered Rescue Vehicle and co-driver of the Great Ambulance.
Etymology[]
- The name Ren is written in katakana (レン), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (蓮), it could possibly mean "lotus".

- Ren was released as a toy as part of Hyper Rescue Member Set B. He was also packaged with the HR02 Mobile Emergency Vehicle, HR08 Mobile Emergency Helicopter and PUV02 Powered Fire Engine.
- Ren shares a seiyuu with Misa, Tsubasa, Hakase and one of the Waruda Henchmen.
