Sanae Munakata (宗像 沙南江) is a character in Tomica Hyper Rescue: Drive Head. She first appears in Episode 16. She is voiced by Miyako Ito.

Sanae is an elderly woman with brown eyes and grey hair tied up in a bun. She wears a blue floral-print sun dress.
Personality[]
Sanae seems to be a person who is paranoid and easily bought by gossip, but is otherwise a kind person.

- Arisa Munakata- She is Sanae's granddaughter.
In the TV series[]
Sanae is the grandmother of Munakata. She lives alone on an island.
When some of the Mobile Rescue Police came there with Munakata on vacation, Sanae told them about paranormal activity happening on the island. This led them to investigating the cause, which was actually the secret filming of a movie.

- Sanae's surname Munakata is composed of the characters for "sect" (宗) and "image" (像), whereas her given name is composed of those for "sand" (沙), "south" (南) and "river" (江)
