Summary[]

Karigari finds that he and Sasagawa are vacationing at the same hotel, when suddenly a meteor crashes.

Plot[]

Munakata is testing out a new support vehicle for the Mobile Rescue Police, the Blitz Jet Fighter. This is actually a tuned-up version of the Sonic Jet, designed for use with Cyclone Interceptor. Gou is anxious to do a Synchro Fusion with it. Unfortunately, it isn't quite set up for that yet.

Meanwhile, Karigari, Yusuke and Akira are at a hotel eating breakfast. Yusuke and Akira are both in disguises, which they're trying to keep from falling apart. Yusuke asks Karigari if they can just give up trying to get revenge on the Mobile Rescue Police. Karigari makes it clear that he has no interest in stopping. However, his current priority is investigating the eye symbol. Already, he's figured out that it was responsible for a number of incidents such as what happened at The Great Ama no Ukihashi and the Geothermal Power Plant. However, he's yet to find out the truth behind it.

Karigari stops his research immediately when he realizes it's time for Sasagawa's Fortune Corner. Unfortunately for him, he learns that Sasagawa is on summer vacation, so a different announcer, Risa Unai, is hosting it instead. Karigari is extremely disappointed and turns it off. He's about to leave until his subordinates notice that Sasagawa herself just came into the room. Of course, Karigari is thrilled.

Nearby, construction is underway. Two men are in a Walker Vehicle, which is carrying explosives.

Karigari watches Sasagawa from a distance while trying to hide himself. He's frustrated by how many people are around her. Yusuke and Akira suggest that he just talk to her. Karigari is horrified by the thought, though. He's certain Sasagawa won't think it's a coincidence, and she'll see him as a stalker. However, once Sasagawa gets up to leave, Karigari decides he'll have to follow her after all. Just then, Karigari notices something outside. He warns for the people nearby to get away from the window, and an explosion occurs.

The Mobile Rescue Police quickly get a report of the incident. They learn that a meteorite crashed down in the mountains. They fear that it must have caused a lot of damage, but are relieved to learn, once the sector it landed in is pinpointed, that there were no houses nearby. Of course, there was still a fire, so Team Drive Head launches to take care of it. The Blitz Jet Fighter is also sent out.

At the hotel, Sasagawa receives the details of what happened, and decides to go out to the scene even though she's on vacation. She borrows a car from the hotel to do so. Karigari is annoyed by this turn of events.

At the site of the construction, it's discovered that the Walker Vehicle became trapped in a crevice. Unfortunately, the explosives are down there with it, creating a serious hazard. This happened because there was actually a second meteor impact site. While the Drive Heads work to put out the fire in the first site, the Mobile Rescue Police gets word of this second disaster. They decide to let Taiga stay to deal with the fire but send the others to the second site.

Meanwhile, Sasagawa starts investigating on her own. She discovers the Rescue Helicopter flying overhead, and decides to continue after it on foot.

When Gou, Jin and Mikoto arrive at the second crash site, Mikoto uses the Cyber Eye unit, confirming that there are workers inside the trapped Walker Vehicle. Although the Vehicle is somehow being held in place by metal bars it fell on, the Mobile Rescue Police still need to find a way to safely pull the workers out without causing a collapse or triggering the explosives. It will be difficult, but they start working on it.

After learning the details of the second crash site, Sasagawa sets up her phone in order to join Unai in reporting about the incident. From in the hotel, Karigari watches, and starts to freak out. He's worried about how reckless she's being.

White Crystal Hope begins to reel the Walker Vehicle out of the crevice from above. Unfortunately, the ground breaks and it starts to fall back. Gou rushes in with Cyclone Interceptor to catch it. He succeeds with the rescue, but the impact causes the explosives to activate. Only seconds remain until they're going to blow. In order to prevent disaster, Munakata controls the Blitz Jet Fighter from a distance, and carries the explosives away. Sasagawa sees this from a distance away, but unfortunately ends up falling off the cliff behind her. However, Karigari is able to catch her with his flying Viper.

Gou plans to head back to the fire. But then, Taiga informs him that it's already been taken care of. The rescue was complete in both locations.

Once they land back on the ground, Sasagawa asks Karigari why he saved her. Karigari is embarrassed and he tells her it's because he enjoys watching her Fortune Corner every day. He goes back to the Viper, planning to leave. Sasagawa is confused, but asks him to wait. Karigari tells her to call him "The Genius Scientist of Dreams and Romance" but then takes off anyway, leaving her to watch.
