Tomica Hero Rescue Force DX Rescue Striker and Rescue Commander Set (トミカヒーロー レスキューフォース DXレスキューストライカー&レスキューコマンダーセット) is a toy released within the Tomica Hero toyline. It is primarily released in Japan. For information within the TV series, see Rescue Striker and Rescue Commander.

Overview[]

The DX Rescue Striker and Rescue Commander Set was released 2008. Both toys were also released in the Tomica Hero Rescue Force DX Rescue Max set. The Rescue Commander was released in a set with the Rescue Breaker.

An alternate Light and Sound model of the Rescue Commander was later released.

Description[]

The toy includes two main items, and a set of six cards.

The Rescue Striker is a large-size vehicle, which has compartments to store and launch standard size Tomica. The vehicle actually consists of two portions, which can be separated.

It can combine with the Rescue Saver toy in order to form a robot mode called the Rescue Max.

It can also combine with the Rescue Diver toy in order to form a larger vehicle called the Jet Vehicle Mode, or a robot mode called the Super Rescue Max.

Additionally, it can attach to the Tomica Hero Rescue Force DX Rescue Phoenix

Lastly, it is compatible with each vehicle in the Rescue Combine series for forming more combinations, the Rescue Riser, Rescue Shovel, Rescue Drill, Rescue Turbo, Rescue Dozer, and Rescue Crane.

The Rescue Commander is a device which can scan cards and make different sounds, or control the Rescue Striker, depending on the card. The cards "Build Up" and "Water Cannon" simply make sound, while "Dash" and "Back" move the Rescue Striker forward and backwards, respectively. "Go" is for launching Tomica in the front of the Rescue Striker, and "Start" for launching them from the rear.
